ING DIRECT named Financial Institution of the Year - Non Big Four

ING DIRECT was named Financial Institution of the Year - Non Big Four at the Australian Banking & Finance Awards held in Sydney last night.

In receiving the award, ING DIRECT's Executive Director Delivery, Lisa Claes said the award represents ING DIRECT's ongoing commitment to competition.

"We're incredibly proud to accept this award, it recognises the significant role ING DIRECT plays in offering brokers and customers a true alternative in home loans, savings and transactional banking."

The Award took into consideration; customer service; product offering; business banking; market share and services growth; technology and operational experience; trust and team spirit/employee metrics; customer satisfaction: retail and business.

Supporting ING DIRECT's entry was its consistent ranking of number one for bank customer satisfaction in Nielsen's quarterly Financial Services Monitor; its simple and straightforward product offering and its profitable and efficient operating model.
